We have been carefully putting together our latest range over the last few months and we can’t wait to unveil it very soon. With plans to complete a second showroom in the mill we are somewhat excited about it all!
Here is Margot the Lurcher showing of one of the demo cabinets. I think that she is a fan!
Featuring paired back simplicity the Simple Shaker kitchen combines real wood and traditional joinery techniques for a timeless finish that will last for years to come.
A range of polished chrome knobs and cup handles.
With a choice of classic handles and hinges in a range of finishes and hand painted by our team in a carefully selected choice of colours. It’s simplicity at its best!
Keep an eye on our website for more info in the coming weeks or why not give us a call to discuss your new project with member of the SB team.
Along with our Classic range kitchen we also offer a finishing consultation, where we invite our clients to discuss colours and other finishing touches.
This is always a fun time for us as we have the opportunity to take onboard our clients individual tastes and interpret that into a coherent scheme – a little like a physical pinterest board! Here you can see and touch individual elements and try different ideas to see how they fit.
This week I hd the pleasure of putting together a board inspired by the timeless William Morris print ‘Orchard Pattern’ Teamed with our clients desire for bold and bright walls and a desire to have a subtly distressed finish we set to work.
The end result is certainly going to be beautiful. I can’t wait to show you the results soon.
Spring is finally here! The mill is slowly becoming surrounded by daffodils again and we are feeling like celebrating the sunshine.
To mark the occasion we are offering half price installation on our Classic kitchen range. With summer around the corner the offer won’t be available for long. If you are thinking of having a beautiful new kitchen then why not give us a call and we will be very happy to chat about your new project.
So you may be an incredibly organised type of person who has already bought and wrapped all of your presents – in which case hats of to you, put your feel up and relax.
Otherwise if you are like me, or everybody else I know you have only really had time to think about it… well, around about now really.
December is here and what better present than a kitchen gadget. Here’s a brief rundown of our favourite’s this winter. Some useful, some pointless and some downright stupid!
We love this cute and handy pal. The Nessie ladle from the guys at OTOTO comes in a variety of colours and sizes. I’m sure that these happy creatures will make serving up dinner a delight.
They also make a little baby Nessie tea infuser too. What a cutie, perfect for any tea fanatic…like me!
Or how about living life on the edge with this shark fin tea diffuser? Available from Gifts.uk this is surely the perfect stocking filler for any daredevil.
On my list this year is an old favourite. I seem to be the only person without a NutriBullet – but not for long (well, lets see how good I have been this year).
What can be better or more virtuous than making your own fresh veggie, fruit and superfood smoothy everyday surely? Available from John Lewis.
For those of you who love a very precise bit of cheese, or for those who just want to take portion control to a whole new level, how about this Cheese Degrees precision cheese board from Fred & Friends.
Or take it one step further to the Obsessive Chef Cutting Board.
So from the cute, the healthy to downright daft. Just a few pressies for you to choose from this christmas.
Blue has almost certainly taken the trophy this year for most coveted colour for our kitchens. And what with The Little Greene Company launching their new ‘Blue’ collection there’s now even more beautiful blues to choose from.
We are just putting together the finishing touches in the new paint studio today ready for the new wave of kitchens we have over the coming months. We needed to keep the room light and airy as it is a working room and needs to be a canvas for our work. So to compliment the walls we have opted for a subtle blue/grey with Gauze Mid and Gauze Dark.
Finished photos to follow!
I must say that I really do favour the dark and moody shades though and Hick’s blue has to be one of my firm favourites.
Which shade will you choose?
Our Oak internals are a handy way of saving space within your new kitchen. All handmade to order you can even measure your longest and most awkward utensils, platters or cereal boxes to ensure they will fit snuggly in your cabinets.
Spice racks tucked away in larders or base cabinets can be fantastic space-saving solutions for your condiments and other smaller items.
Our Pull-Out Cabinets can also make the best use of space for taller items such as bottles or smaller gadgets.
Cutlery Dividers and Knife Blocks all help to keep your drawers neat and tidy.
Everyone loves a kitchen gadget… well we certainly do anyway! Wether hugely useful or just plain gorgeous, buying kit for your new kitchen is always fun with so much available today.
Take this ice dispensing polar bear ice tray from Black + Blum. Ice cubes have surely never been so fun?
Brrrrr… Polar Bear ice dispenser from Black + Blum.
Or what about this clever herb saver from Cole & Mason. Keeps your herbs both stylish and fresh.
Or how about one of our favourites? Toast your bread in style style with winning combination Dualit & Little Greene’s Heritage Range of 2 and 4 slot toasters.
The perfect excuse to match your toaster with your new kitchen!
Earlier in the year we completed a solid wood double dresser for a lovely family in the Cotswolds. Our cabinets can be constructed from plywood or solid wood and this family opted for the solid wood finish, hand painted in a lovely soft earthy green. We documented the makings of this lovely dresser as it moves from hand to hand through our workshop.
Here is the dresser during construction in all its naked glory!
Moving up into the painting studio to be finished in Portland Stone Dark.
And Tah Dah!
All finished with smart polished chrome handles and a polished Carerra marble top and in it’s new home.
We were lucky enough earlier in the year to be featured over on the wonderful interior blog Design Chic. Kristy & Beth are the stylish duo behind the blog and do a fantastic job of bringing their clean and crisp style to life.
Why not go and grab some interior inspiration?
Well the sun is shining here in Sussex and we have had the pleasure to complete some lovely new kitchens already this year. There’s certainly been some great bold colour choices this season with our customers choosing beautiful inky blues and striking greens for their new kitchens. We can’t wait to revisit and photograph a few of our latest commissions once their new owners have had a chance to really settle in and make it their own.
Here is just a small selection of our latest installations…
